Obsolescencia programada

Desde el principio de los tiempos el ser humano ha ido evolucionando, sin connotaciones emocionales, en mente y cuerpo. La capacidad de asimilar los recursos y la energía que nos rodea para transformarlos en elementos útiles, preciados, complejos y valiosos ha incrementado en función del tiempo que ha dispuesto para entrar en contacto con todo ello.

Dentro de toda esta evolución, existen componentes directos que se ven afectados por las acciones del hombre; la mayoría de estas quedan justificadas pues el fin principal es esa necesidad ante la que reaccionan. Un ejemplo sería la Revolución Industrial, principalmente la segunda, donde se dio lugar la implantación de las máquinas en sistemas de producción.

Sin embargo, como en todo dilema, también existe una oposición. Para seguir el hilo, me refiero a todos los componentes indirectos que también son objeto de nuestras acciones. Tantos que no podríamos cuantificarlos y analizarlos, tantos que a veces para no perder el objetivo principal, los pasas por alto. Siguiendo el ejemplo anterior, las máquinas en los sistemas de producción redujeron la necesidad de la mano de obra, incrementando la tasa de desempleo de manera descontrolada.

Crear y cubrir necesidades se ha convertido con los años en una tarea más ardua, pues hay más grupos de interés que pueden verse afectados. No perjudicar a nadie casi podría denominarse “utópico” a día de hoy.

Pese a todo, serán las ideas que satisfagan intereses y no necesidades, las que en la actualidad imperen pues el beneficio de un grupo en el corto plazo, resulta más atractiva que el esfuerzo que supone alcanzar la perfección y el beneficio con ello, de las generaciones futuras. Por otro lado, decir que el término “necesitar” como un homo del paleolítico necesitaba alimentos, como un Medievo necesitaba medicamentos para la tuberculosis, como actualmente un huérfano de la India en el siglo XXI puede necesitar para comer… nosotros los de los países “desarrollados” no tenemos derecho ninguno de usarlo, pues queda sobrevalorado y sacado de su propio contexto.

La “Gran Idea” surgida a raíz del Crack del 29, la obsolescencia programada, puede decirse que realmente funcionó. Creada con un único propósito, el de levantar el sistema económico, siguió desarrollándose a medida que los sistemas productivos evolucionaban. El dinero de las empresas obtenían por la seguridad de que sus clientes volverían en el corto plazo a por nuevos productos, generó una ceguera que impidió ver otro tipo de consecuencias nefastas. Un descontrol que el documental define muy bien con la frase “un bólido que ahora, ya nadie dirige”.

Enumeraré aquí los factores indirectos que me vienen a la mente, entiendo que en función de la importancia que yo les doy.

• Los valores humanos. Nosotros, seres humanos y naturales, vivimos en países desarrollados y dependemos de nuestras posesiones, giramos nuestra vida en torno a elementos artificiales. El sentido que le dimos a la tecnología como medio de resolver nuestros problemas, quedo obsoleto, con la aparición de la obsolescencia programada, valga la redundancia. Unos pocos hicieron que consumir en demasía fuera una necesidad entre los muchos. A su vez, este consumismo da lugar a otros desordenes psicológicos como es la ansiedad, la compra compulsiva, el materialismo, el derroche, el despilfarro…

• El “Tercer Mundo”. Esta palabra, vacía de sentido, y creada de manera discriminatoria e interesada, es la principal receptora del final del Ciclo de Vida de la obsolescencia programada: los deshechos. “Ojos que no ven…”… muy listos toda la élite de benefactores. Pero, ¿por qué los que tienen el poder de cambiar el rumbo del mundo y realmente crear una globalización tolerante, profundizan ahondando en la brecha…? ¿Por qué firmar tratados falsos para empeorar la calidad de vida de gente que sí “necesita” de verdad?

• La contaminación. Más allá de las diferencias entre individuos, y el hecho de seamos culturalmente distintos y tengamos intenciones diferentes, lo cierto es que compartimos algo que nos afecta a todos. Todo lo que se crea y no se biodegrada, en algún momento, aunque se recicle, acabará en algún vertedero. Estén donde estén, el cielo, el aire, el agua, la tierra que pisamos es de todos. Cierto es, que los que utilizamos todo lo que se termina convirtiendo en basura, no consideramos la naturaleza como un bien primario. Un gran error, que aunque nosotros ya no estemos aquí, generaciones futuras lo verán y lo sufrirán. Ayer oí una frase que me recordó a todo esto que estuve reflexionando y es que “la vida es un regalo natural; la muerte, el producto de nuestra conducta”.

• Inteligencia del ser humano. Somos seres racionales, únicos debido a esta razón. Somos capaces de inventar elementos que nos harían la vida más sencilla, que cubrirían necesidades, básicas o no, de manera permanente. Sin embargo, ¿para qué? Quiénes deben valorarlo y premiarlo deciden que no interesa. Contra natura, contra evolutivo… acciones útiles para enmendar problemas, acciones peligrosas cuando están fuera de control.

Realmente, desde que esta situación está descontrolada nos hemos dejado llevar por el movimiento social del momento. Las políticas, los proyectos de Ley que acogen las nuevas conductas, la educación, nuestra historia… todo nuestro alrededor hace muy difícil plantear una alternativa, un parón en todo este circo de locos. Un cambio que desde luego, los de abajo no podemos empezar porque desataría una catástrofe social. El sistema se ha adaptado íntegramente a la obsolescencia programada. Familias enteras dependen de ella para obtener a fin de mes una renta con la que subsistir.

Si un día “D”, decidieran retomar las riendas del sistema económico capitalista, será de nuevo un pequeño colectivo preparado para ello y concienciado socialmente, ambicioso de perfección. Entonces, deberemos estar informados para adoptar esos cambios y colaborar para hacerlo más sencillo.

Y decir, que el sistema capitalista no es el problema, de hecho, creo que es brillante en su razón principal. Una de las obras del ser humano mejor elaboradas. Pero como todas ellas, hay factores que se nos escapan. Las tentaciones existen, y los seres humanos pasan de la vocación a la codicia en cuestión de segundos… Al fin y al cabo, después de tantos años, aún tiene que dejarse cocer un poco. Quizá en frío añadirle una dosis de comunismo y una pizca de paciencia asiática.

Es duro, ver ese documental, sentir que estás de acuerdo, y ver que con ello, nace cierta hipocresía. ¿Pero hasta que punto debemos autocuestionarnos? ¿Hasta qué punto está en mis manos?

Following the example above, the machines in production systems reduced the need for labor, increasing unemployment out of control.

Creating and filling needs has become over the years into an arduous task, with more interest groups that may be affected. Do no harm to anyone almost be called "utopian" to this day.

Nevertheless, the ideas will meet interests and not needs, which currently prevail for the benefit of a group in the short term, it is more attractive than the effort to achieve perfection and thereby benefit from the future generations. The "Big Idea" that emerged following the Crash of 29, planned obsolescence, we can say that really worked. I will list here the drivers that come to mind, I understand that depending on the importance I give to them.

• Human values. We, human beings and natural, live in developed countries and rely on our possessions, we turn our lives around artificial elements. The direction we gave to the technology as a means of solving our problems, obsolete with the emergence of planned obsolescence, despite the redundancy. A few were to consume too much was a need among many. In turn, this consumption leads to other psychological disorders such as anxiety, compulsive buying, materialism, waste...

• "Third World." This word, empty of meaning, and created a discriminatory manner and interested, is the largest recipient of end of life cycle planned obsolescence: the waste. • Pollution. Beyond the differences between individuals, and the fact we are culturally different and have different intentions, the truth is that we share something that affects us all. All that is created and does not biodegrade at some point, although it is recycled, end up in a landfill. Wherever you are, the sky, air, water, earth we tread is for everyone. It is true that those who use all that garbage ends up becoming not consider nature as a commodity. A big mistake, although we will no longer be here, future generations will see it and suffer. Yesterday I heard a phrase that reminded me that I was thinking all this is that "life is a natural gift, death, the product of our behavior."

• Human intelligence. We are rational beings, only because of this reason. We are capable of creating elements that would make life easier, to cover needs, whether basic or not, permanently. But why? Who should appreciate and reward decide they do not care. Against nature, against evolution ... useful actions to amend problems, dangerous actions when they are out of control.

Actually, since this situation is out of control we have been guided by the social movement of the moment. Policies, law projects that receive the new behaviors, education, our history ... all around us makes it very difficult to propose an alternative, a break in this whole crazy circus. A change of course, the underdogs because we can not start off a social catastrophe. The system is fully adapted to the planned obsolescence. Entire families depend on it for months to get an income with which survive.

If a D-day, decided to retake the reins of the capitalist economic system, will again be a small group prepared for this and socially conscious, ambitious for perfection. So we should be informed to take those changes and work together to make it easier.

And to say that the capitalist system is not the problem, in fact, I think is brilliant in its main reason. One of the works of the human being better prepared. But like all of them, there are factors that are beyond us. The temptation exists, and human beings spend a vocation to the greed in seconds ... At the end of the day, after so many years, has yet to let cook a little. Cold may add a dose of communism and a pinch of patience Asia.

It's hard to see this documentary, you agree to feel and see that this is born a certain hypocrisy. But the extent to which we self-questioning? How much is in my hands?
