Fue aterrizar en Paris y ya los capítulos de Sexo en Nueva York y su opening credits se convirtieron en un ritual. Una en la cocina, otra prepara la mesa y otra, pone la serie. Excepto cuando estaba Rocío… a Roci no le gusta comer con la tele-ordenador. Clara, que no podía entender como no había visto antes la serie por completo fue la que más me indujo y… me enganché perdidamente. ¿Cómo no?
Sexo en Nueva York es una serie que va dirigida a los dos géneros, pese a que parezca que solo apela al femenino. Muchos hombres han podido conocer un poquito el mundo en cuanto a relaciones se refiere, y es que habiendo infinitos tipos de las mismas, los cuatro personajes tan diferentes los abarcan todos. Sentirse identificado con el personaje es importante para que un show tenga éxito y aunque en este caso la principal protagonista sea Carrie y casi todas las mujeres digan sentirse Carrie o querer serlo, creo que todas tenemos un poquito de las cuatro y ninguna es una en su totalidad.
Se por amigos y conocidos que aun hay mucha gente que está descubriendo los secretos de la serie así que no desvelare nada importante, pero he aquí alguna de mis percepciones.
En la primera temporada de la serie Carrie es a la vez que actriz protagonista, narrador omnisciente y en algunas ocasiones la escena se corta para dirigirse al espectador y explicar algún momento, o hacer alguna puntuación, pasando así el televidente de ser voyeur a ser descubierto. Esta técnica debió gustar poco al director y decidió suprimirla al cabo de pocos capítulos.
Puede decirse que en la primera temporada descubrimos a las protagonistas, sus historias de amor, sus desastres de amor y sus intenciones en la vida. Carrie, en busca del amor verdadero que no te deja dormir, el que duele. Samantha, esquivando el amor de verdad y el compromiso, busca relaciones esporádicas y diversión a todas horas. Charlotte, tan tradicional, busca a ese hombre padre de familia, creyendo en un principio que la pasión no es tan importante; y Miranda, que volcada en su vida profesional cree que las relaciones son distracciones que no puede permitirse…no tardará en darse cuenta de lo contrario.
Las protagonistas poco a poco durante la serie, van consiguiendo éxitos profesionales y por eso podemos explicarnos como se costean todas las comidas, cenas, hoteles, vacaciones, ropa, etc… En las primeras temporadas, Carrie, adicta a los zapatos de diseño, no es tan consumista y poco a poco, veremos cómo llena su armario. Ella es escritora, y se consagrará como tal. Samantha es RR.PP. y será cuando haga de un modelo, la imagen de Vodka cuando vea la cima de su carrera. Charlotte dirige una galería de arte y ya veremos lo que decide hacer con ella; y Miranda, abogada de un prestigioso bufete irá ascendiendo gracias a su inteligencia y ambición.
La moda juega un papel crucial en la serie. Grandes diseñadores vieron en estas cuatro mujeres que podían representar gran parte del género femenino del plantea, su oportunidad para lucir sus diseños. Quizá al principio la moda se veía como un escape femenino, y luego hay quienes piensan que se tornó frivolidad.
Si algo negativo he de añadir, es quizá, que Carrie siempre habla de la importancia de la mujer y de que no necesitamos a los hombres para realizarnos, pero siempre, cuando encuentra la ocasión se olvida de estas frases para volcarse en una relación. Realmente creo que aunque ella diga eso a modo de autodefensa y empuje… hay que admitir que el amor es necesario. Da aliento y hace que nos conozcamos mejor a nosotras mismas.
Una gran serie que anima a la reflexión, a las anécdotas, y a que perdamos la vergüenza, quién la tenga. Y no es genial, ver un capítulo con tus amigas y decir siempre… ¡A mí me ocurrió algo parecido!

It was landing in Paris and chapters in New York Sex and the opening credits became a ritual. One in the kitchen, another sets the table and another puts the series. Except when Rocio was... Roci does not like eating with the TV-computer. Clara, who could not understand how he had never seen the entire series was the one that led me and ... me hopelessly hooked. Why not?
Sex and the city is a series that is aimed at both genders, although it seems that only appeals to women. Charlotte, so traditional, in search of that perfect man looked a father, thinking in family, to be mum... believing at first that the passion is not so important; and Miranda, who poured into his professional life believes that relationships are distractions that can not afford ... see will see realize otherwise.
The players gradually over the series they achieving professional success and therefore we can explain all meals, dinners, hotels, vacations, clothes, etc ... In the first season, Carrie, addicted to designed shoes, she is not as consumerist and gradually we will see how full your closet. She is a writer, and enshrine it as such.
